Also called a "flap remover," these parts simply remove the original flaps located in the ducts of your OEM intake manifold.
This motorsports-inspired Runner Flap Delete System (RFD) kit has been designed to eliminate potential airflow restrictions on stock intake manifolds.
These parts are intended for those looking to optimize and maximize the performance of your vehicle.
The original shutters are actually individual plates, very similar, for example, to a simple butterfly shutter. They are located within the air passages of your intake manifold.
Unfortunately, even when they reach their maximum open position, the flaps still represent an air restriction and therefore a restriction in flow of the air volume.
After removing the original shutters, the FLAP Delete kit fills the gaps in each duct. All these parts are made of aluminum and are CNC machined with laser cutting.
