Porsche uses different PCM versions depending on the year and model. It is vital to identify your software version to ensure module compatibility:
PCM 3.0 (Approx. 2008-2011)
- Common in 911 (997.2), Cayenne (957/early 958), Boxster/Cayman (987.2).
- Software version is usually V1.xx or V2.xx.
PCM 3.1 (Approx. 2012-2016)
- Common in 911 (991.1), Cayenne (958.1), Panamera (970), Macan.
- Software version is usually V2.xx, V3.xx, or V4.xx.
- More modern and sharper visual interface.
